The Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA) is an international non-profit organization dedicated to the acquisition, preservation, exhibition, and use of moving image materials. Founded in 2014, the AMIA Student Chapter at the UvA follows the mission of AMIA.

We introduce and integrate new archivists into the profession by creating and maintaining a community of current and former students, industry professionals, and others interested in moving image preservation.

We also organize and host a variety of events, including screenings, tours, and forums for discussion and professional activities that provide opportunities to meet and interact with colleagues within the professional community.
