African Film Forum Masterclass by Nigerian filmmaker Chris Odeh

On Wednesday, May 17, 2023, from 17:00-21:00 hrs, the celebrated Nigerian filmmaker Chris Odeh will be in BuzzHouse to give an African Film Forum masterclass on 'Independent Filmmaking and African Sorytelling in Nollywood.' The masterclass will include a screening of Odeh's multiple award-winning film Choke (2022).

About Chris Odeh

Chris Odeh who is the founder of Coal 360 and partner of Sozo Films has been a producer in the film industry for over 15 years. He produced stellar films such as Living In Bondage, Oloibiri, Nneka The Pretty Serpent, Aki and Pawpaw and Choke which is currently in several festivals around the world. Over the period of 3 years, Masterclass with Chris Odeh has equipped and trained over 50 participants in filmmaking and producing. An initiative which has trained participants from Cote d’Ivoire, Kampala, Uganda, Freetown, UK, South Africa and Nigeria. With a track record of projects and story ideas birthed during class session, the impact on young African filmmakers from all walks of life keep increasing annually.
