The evening will feature a special screening of the heartwarming and provocative documentary Santa Camp (2022) at the iconic film theatre De Uitkijk in the heart of Amsterdam, followed by (a few rounds of) complimentary drinks to celebrate the start of the holiday season. About Santa Camp

Santa Camp (2022), directed by Nick Sweeney, offers a fascinating look into a unique training camp hosted by the New England Santa Society in New Hampshire, the United States. This camp trains participants to take on the roles of Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, and the elves, while tackling the need for greater diversity in Santa portrayals. The film follows the journeys of three new trainees: a Black Santa, a transgender Santa, and a Santa with a disability. It also delves into the evolving role of Mrs. Claus and the push for equal recognition in public appearances. Premiering at the 2022 Doc NYC Film Festival and later released on HBO Max, Santa Camp will now light up the big screen in Amsterdam just in time for the holidays.
