Today from 9:30-17:30 hrs the Co-Working Space (and Cactus Room) will be used for a workshop on cultural heritage and collection data, organized in connection to the MA course Preservation & Access.
“In this hands-on workshop, students, in collaboration with staff members from IISG, NISV and CREATE, take a closer look at how cultural heritage institutions are currently developing approaches to sharing collection data on the web for the purposes of scholarly access, creative reuse and enrichment of collection data and explore use cases of their own choice. In particular, we will zoom in on how collection and/or cultural heritage data can be turned into Linked Open Data (LOD) and/or be connected to Wikidata and the challenges such work represents to heritage professionals and institutions.”
